Welcome to My Twisted Edge Blog

I’m a writer. I love words. I love taking a journey to another place and time. My stories will take you into the late 19th century and then pull you through the early part of the 20th century. Maybe I lived another life a hundred years ago, I have no other explanation for why I journey backwards in time. What is the twisted edge? Well other than I like the way it sounds, my characters are all flawed beings. Each one struggles with varying levels of sin and each story delves into the conflicts that sin creates. So yes, I use a lot of Christian symbolism in my stories. I don’t preach, I present. We all have struggles and each of my characters share some snippet of my personality-good, bad, and well, better left unsaid. But this is precisely what makes them realistic. They breathe, they bleed, they live, and they die. And, they seek forgiveness at times. You can find various stories on my website along with a snippet from my upcoming novel, “Redwood.” I am thrilled about this Christian-influenced paranormal thriller. The characters are delicate, harsh, and sympathetic. I’ll leave it up to you to decide whom to cheer for, love, and despise. I plan to blog on the entire process of writing, publishing, marketing, and the triumphs and trials involved. I’ll talk about my characters and their development and I’ll share glimpses inside my spiral notebook where families come alive in my imagined family trees. I’ll update my posts via twitter and hope to hear back from you as we journey along the twisted edge. And if the twists and turns are a bit too much, I am working on a wonderful series of early reader books about my cat rescue project. Stay tuned for news…
